Débora Duarte is one of the most popular Brazilian actresses, the perfect girl next door who everybody loves. Born the same year the television first got to Brazil, she became a child actor, growing up in front of the whole country. Her first role was on live television as Cosette, from Les Misérables, in 1958. Some of Débora’s roles provoked such a commotion in Brazil that women would mimic her wardrobe, haircut, nail polish. More than fifty soap-operas, miniseries and TV series transformed that little girl in one of the most admired actors of an entire generation.
